This week, i'll send my car for 5K servicing eventhough my car haven't reach 5K yet but already 3 months. Will let you all know what will change for this 5K servicing.
The SC and SA call me up last week to remind me to send for servicing! |

My understanding from SA
1K service - just check and service, no oil or filter changed
5K service - just change engine oil
10k service - just change oil filter
If owner request can change oil/filter but have to pay. |

Just did my 2nd service @ 5K...
Total bill came up to RM 23.20. ;p
Changed oil filter and lub labour cost I think.
By far the cheapest service I've ever come across for any car. |

i had asked my SA, he confirm me that if the owner insist to change engine oil or oil filter for the 1st 1000km service, no problem at all, just u have to pay the oil and filter cost.
so, it is a good news for me as i'm going to do this when my car 1k service. |

I just service my car at 4202km this morning (2nd service).
I requested them to change my car oil filter as well and it costs me RM17.
SS give me two Honda souvenir pens to appreciate servicing my car over there.

I patronize the SC in USJ19, Subang Jaya. So far nothing to complain about but right after my 5K service a fortnight ago, the desk officer called me up to ask me to bring my car to the SC again for a belt adjustment which "seemed to be loose already".
I asked him which belt he said something about air-con belt. I asked him how serious it was he mumbled something which I could'nt make up since I was driving then (handsfree ). I asked him how long he said at least 3 hours.
3 hours?!
And he added that was the reason they couldn't do it during my service which was on a Saturday (busy day for them). So far, he hasn't called me yet, though he promised to do that last Saturday.
Appreciate if anyone can share their experience if it's similar as mine. I just don't want to be tricked into anything, thanks all.
P/S My F.C. dropped 1km/li after the 5K service. Talk about irony... |

Heh... nope, no sound, no smell from the air-cond. I believe the guy didn't know what he was talking about - after browsing through the forum, I guess the guy was referring to the infamous "tak-tak/klok-klok" sound which concerns the engine mounting, as discussed Only registered users can see links on this forum! Anyway, I shall wait for him to call again to clarify, if he ever. |

Yeah. I'm sending my car for 5k servicing soon. No real problems with my car other than the off-centre steering wheel (the wheel not the tyres). And the driver's door handle (from inside & outside) being a bit hard to pull open sometimes.
Called the SC & enquired about what happens at 5k service. He said mostly checking & tightening stuff. Then, they'll flush your engine (the flushing lube will be charged) and replace it with new engine oil (oil is strangely FOC). Not sure whether they'll change oil filter? Normally, that's changed every 10k correct?
How long does the 5k service took, guys? I don't really want to have to take annual leave just to go for service, so might bring work along to the service centre. My work is all on my laptop, so my "office" can travel with me, hehe.... |

hi rara,
The 5k service does not take long...probably about an hour of actual service time.Oil filter
change is not included in this service unless you pay for it. |

Rara, I am faced with the 2 same problems that you encountered. Just came back from 1k service recently, SC told me it is a common problem with the driver's door being difficult to open/close. Wanted SC to take a look at it again at 5k service. Pls share with us if you are able to get the SC to fix it. |

i. They only change the engine oil.
ii. If u want to change the oil filter u hv to pay RM29.00
iii. My aircon produce bad smell when first start the car every morning. The SC said it happens to all civic. This is because the 3M carpet im using. I told them the smell is already there even b4 i bought the 3M carpet. The technicion said the solution is to buy the "aircon blower filter" which is RM120.00. He even show me the an empty compartment where this filter should be fix at. I said, its funny tht if honda is aware about this problem and even provides a compartment for it, why dont they just supply the filter at the very first place b4 handed the car to the customer. What blow me most is, the technician, rudely replied my complait by saying "Nothing funny about that" as that is standard to all Honda car.
iv. I ask them to wash my car and not to use any shampoo as ive just applied this teflon chemical at shine n shield. The guy wiped my car even before the car was fully sprayed with water. And to my agony the cloth they were using was the normal cloth with same quality with the "good morning" towel and it was realy dirty. I quickly asked them to stop f4 further damage done. I rather wash the car myself.
When i left the SC, i saw lot of sour faces behind me as if what a fussy customer i was.I wonder what is the professionalism level with Honda nowadays. Customer no longer right. |
