Its not about luck (on getting better quality product) bro. Stock pads are known to fade badly under heavy braking on higher speeds (at speeds above 110km/h). The stock pads temp rating is very low and thus causing brake fade. Even if you are lightweight and drive alone, it might help but not above higher speeds.

Its a good choice that you are considering better brake pads after wearing out your stock ones.

maybe my expectation on 100 to 0 is not like u bro. Laughing yeah!! will definitely go for the EBC after this.

Wow you must have very low expectations. Not possible to get much better stock pads than me as the temp rating is too low. I changed the brake pads around a month after I got my car. Even upgraded to VTTR BBK at one point but now happy enough with my Project Mu rotors + EBC brake pads setup. At least can slow from 170km/h - 0km/h without any brake fade.

170 to 0?? wow!! must follow ur setup after this. i normally from 150/160 to 40 only. my expectation is not much maybe coz i own a spectra before, n the brake really sucks. thus this FD brake setup kinda satisfy me. cheers.

Bro, the stock pads can really last long. I know members who are still on their stock pads well into 2.5 years of ownership. What kind of late braker are you for your stock pads to last so long?

Well i love to break late n hard but not to slam it, and try me best to totally eliminate inertia by breaking slowly after the late strong"ish" break .. its like a complete peaceful stop ...

if that even make sense lol Laughing

Whilst still stock I did manage to brake from 140km/h - 0km/h but around 60km/h I got brake fade and judder because of the low temp rating of the brake pads. No vibrations but loud sounds coming from the brakes and almost no bite left.

Now, how can you perform emergency braking in the PLUS highway travelling around 110km/h with your entire family inside?

Smooth braking, that's great when you have occupants in the car.

just changed my front and rear brake pad at Honda SC.

was charged about 300++ for rear and 400++ for front.

so both around 700++..

er. I don't know whether this is money well spent or not., but because i'm complaining about brake juddering.. so honda recommends me to change brake pad 1st.. then only consider next step if re-occur.

aiiyyah.. after change brake pad and FREE disc skimming by Honda SC.. it seems that the brake judder gone already.

how to re-create? i want honda sc to replace my front brake disc.. which i think not really flat on surface (suspect disc warping...)

you all change to project U and other brands - does it affect your warranty?

Can really feel the diff... fully utilize it during balik kampung last night... Mr. Green .... didn't even manage to do the 'bedding process' (actually forgot how to do it)...

Just wonder.... this is just the blackstuff... haven't try yet the green or yellow stuff... Twisted Evil

IMO, the SC that told u that is just trying to stop u from changing after market pads. Dun worry. This thing is plug and play..how can SC know? If u need a warranty claim and really they're being fussy about it, just change back to stock pads and they will not even have a hint u changed it to after market ones.
