Spongy feeling is due to the rubber hose brake lines and not due to the brake pads. Just upgrade to stainless steel braided lines will completely solve the problem.

The stock brake pads are strong only during slow speeds below 80km/h, above that or when doing emergency braking it is not sufficient especially if you have your entire family in the car.

After market one will have much better stopping power if you have the tyre grip to match the better stopping power. Otherwise, you will only benefit from less brake fade.

I am on my 2nd pair of Bestop already.. and while it is not top performance pads, it is way better than the stock pads.

Comparatively with SC pricing, bestop is probably cheaper that the stock pads.

It depends on the temperature rating of the pads

just changed my front and rear brake pad at Honda SC.

was charged about 300++ for rear and 400++ for front.

so both around 700++..

er. I don't know whether this is money well spent or not., but because i'm complaining about brake juddering.. so honda recommends me to change brake pad 1st.. then only consider next step if re-occur.

aiiyyah.. after change brake pad and FREE disc skimming by Honda SC.. it seems that the brake judder gone already.

how to re-create? i want honda sc to replace my front brake disc.. which i think not really flat on surface (suspect disc warping...)

you all change to project U and other brands - does it affect your warranty?

What is the typical milage before the original brake pad require to change ? Mine 80% hway milage...
