yeap.. 1 experience .. will teach us forever..

i kena con about thousand.., waa.. lucky my wife is with me that time.., i just brought cash about 500 only.. not expecting more than that..

duh.. !

always be more 'clever'..

forum like this.. that should educate us, how to be a smart honda customer..

we want to keep the warranty... at the same time.. we also don't to be victim of their 'slaughter'..

don't sign anything until u ask all the cost.. ! and always check the labour cost.. , ask them why extra few hundred for labour cost?

slash here and there, until u only pay for whatever that necessary for you to do.., keep in mind all the optional item that you have slashed out..,

ask around .. here in forum.. for that optional item - is there a better alternative? (cheaper yet doesn't cost a bomb like in SC)..

search around here (forum), you will find - item like - cabin filter, oil filter, air filter and other stuffs can easily be obtained at outside spare-part shop.., and you just bring the item for them to change. (cheaper.., but make sure you're getting the genuine product).

Ori Denso Iridium Spark Plugs fully imported can easily grabbed below RM100 oledi.. Aircond filter..think less than SGD20 can scooped.

So, for SC super slaughtering skills...like the say goes as..once bitten, twice shy

for USD150++..

what is ur plan , when you got this manual?

and.. how can we minimise the cost , with this manual.. without voiding our warranty?

i thknk this manual is more apt to those who have past their warranty period..

the manual actually tells u which parts/items need to be change periodically.. & how to open/replace it.

.. so u actually know, u don't get "chopped" by SC.

3 years warranty is a short period.. only a matter of time,
u may wanna consider servicing at different workshop.. to save cost

..& to make sure they worked our car..right way...manual is the guide.

my car only 2 years old.. already change pulley, upgrade security system (wiring), thinking of changing suspension & BBK.. so, to claim warranty already hard for me liao.

Cabin filter - aircond filter in the dash
Air filter - in d engine compartment

Hey bro carnivor, u r greatly encouraged to buy the manual leh. Then we all can learn how to save cost from u haha.. Gotong-royong do oil change during our tt hohoo..

To cover your manual cost, mayb u can partime service our car but charge us less than outside workshop lo.

yesterday.. service my car..for 50k service.

bring my own lube - Shell Helix full synthetic.

total cost by honda - only RM96++

that one for oil filter + labour and + washer.

but, after make payment - the staff remind me - next time must use Honda Oil only..! and only buy from Honda SC.., if not void warranty.

i ask back - are you sure? didn't stated at the service warranty booklet pun..

she replied back - up to you, but if you want to claim anything later, and they found out they you're using different lubricant while still in warranty period., then they will simply void your warranty.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Question : Is this really true?, how can we sure?
my take : they can't simply dictate us what lube to use, as long as we keep to our service schedule..
the way i see all these threats of not using honda lube oil is ridiculous.....i mean we all know lube oil is after all, lube oil - change it as often as recommended then settle la
wat they mean deep down inside i guess is, how SC gonna survive if they dun make $$$ from lube oils n other consumables?
I asked the SC before, if you claim warranty and they found that you are not using Honda Lube, then warranty void liao. I keep saying my oil is a lot better (Torco Oil) but still they say no way.
Brother Keanu, which of the SC in JB that practice this kind of slaughtering. I am new owner of FD and staying in JB. So will be using either one of the two available SC in JB. Like to know which one is the 'black shop'.
Thx
