i am very new in taking of my new car. my previous car was all taken care by my brother but he is now overseas.
i find when i am driving on a highway and the road is not flat , the civic got up and down feeling ... i dont know wat is cuming on ?
is it the suspension something wrong ? i asked the service centre to check but they say nothing wrong. i ask my brother, he says maybe i need to change my new tyres to more expensive one and try to get better absorbers like Monroe or Konee.
sori if this has been asked before. |

Have you check the tyre pressure? Normally it is very high for cars newly come out from factory. |

yup...mine arrived with 50PSI reading....car bounced on any damn road condition
suggest jacky to go to the nearest tyre shop and have them check the tyre pressure....no need to do allignment & balancing
if they force you to do allignment and stuffs like that....go to another shop
you can also DIY by buying tyre pressure gauge
spare part shops, ACE hardware and those DIY stores should have it
price around rm20 per piece
Have you check the tyre pressure? Normally it is very high for cars newly come out from factory. |

Exactly, I believe the pressure in the new car tyres are over 300kPa and will cause bouncy feeling while driving on highways. Drop it to 32psi or 220kpa when cold should reduce it by a lot. _________________

30psi a bit low lar. Honda recommends 32psi while cold. _________________

for normal air.....the recommended during cold tyre reading is 30psi...
if you are on nitrogen, you can pump 32psi for cold tyres...
i've also heard that you can pump front tyres extra 2psi...ie; 34psi front and 32psi back...this helps for understeer....not too sure as i don't have that kind of experience to tell....but anyway...having 34psi for the front with nitrogen helps a little with pick up..hahahaha or at least that's wat i felt.... _________________ Life's Too Short for Boring HiFi |
