Blackhawk, does the muffler 'plug and play' or cut and welding needed? And i think that muffler is made for older version civic?! My uncle frm Japan said Mugen is selling the muffler with piping for '06 Civic for RM4500.

Our civic spec got two sensors underneat for the exchaust system. Is very hard to change whole set and plug in a new one.

According to the exchaust ppl, we need to cut the muffler, midbox and piping. I think the RM4600 is including the piping (but exclude Midbox). RM3000++ ONLY the muffler.

That's all i know till now. If you guys interest, kindly check more detail in internet. I manage to check the immitation one and the sound quite nice after tested. No matter what, I only think of this after my 3rd service finished.

Cheers.

Blackhawk, the sensors very hard to be fooled. Once it senses some minor changes frm the exhaust fumes, it'll give a warning sign. Know how the tackle this problem?

The workshop said only can change piping and/or muffler at the moment then remain others so that the sensors still working fine.

One of our forumer '8' (nickname) already changed to Mugen muffler which he transferred from his old car to new civic. So far no problem at all.

Change muffler shoudn't affect the sensors. Only if you removed the catalytic converter, then the sensors will give you a hard time. You also want to change your muffler, Blackhawk?

Most high end exhaust systems have all necessary points to reinstall the existing sensors. Fitting is very good and fast because they come with all the necessary instructions, parts not to mention the good build quality. You may want to check the part number on the box/instruction/warranty card with the catalogue listing part for our 4 door Civic.

Well, I think this is universal for all cars, I don't think this design is only for new civic. If you guys want to have muffler that really nicely fit to our new babe, then we have to wait much longer.

Not all cars have sensors underneat as our civic tho.

Oh Universal one. Then should be tail pipe ?muffler only. But I don't think Mugen sells universal units. If I'm not mistaken they sell only model specific. I'll check with my brother if he can find the catalogue and I'll confirm.
