i find this product is interesting in preventing kenna rear ended collission.. Laughing
3rd brake light blink based on the pressure of the braking.. so that the car behind can be wary of the front car traffic situation..

Good for the cars whom has baby sitting behind because will want the last thing to get knock from behind

Hi carnivor,

This my kind of mod. Practical, functional, safety.

Been carrying this for years. Made in EU with a G-Force microchip sensor. It will flash your 3rd brake light variably with the downward force operating between the speed of the vehicle & the pressure on the brakes. It is the G-Force.

This will alert the driver behind 0.23 seconds earlier... ie. @ 100km/h, warning distance is 6 metres further.

Been using it on my Estima. Never liked the idea of some idiot smashing into my van with passenges at the rear seat.

Would be great with bros with 6 / 4 pot brakes...hear, hear Ed, John, Netken Laughing

Cheers,

Des

I always thinking of having such brake light. Because people tends to under estimate how capable of the car in front able to stop in very super short time. Driving in big city like KL, how many of us really keep a safe distance from the car in front ?

But there are two issues that holding me back from doing so:
1) Is it legal? I really not sure.
2) Will it irritating the driver behind you? Imaging during the bumper to bumper jam time, you keep seeing the twinkling lights in front of you, and maybe not just one, but all the cars in front of you, left front and right front.... Sad

Can we have a similar 4th light but shooting down.

IMO, i don't see a point installing as majority of the drivers are not aware of this product ; they'd think it's just some ah beng with some fancy brake light. :S

Unless if JPJ enforces every car to install, then it'll be great. Very Happy

I can't recall where I read it but road safety studies show that the brain is more likely to register blinking lights than lights lit. So if you not in a state of awareness the brain will pick this up. At the time when I read this study, such devices not available lah so the practice is to tap the brakes to simulate blinking.

True but it does work and save me, family and circle of friends lots of times since implemented in the early 90s. Depends on situation actually no need to do all the time. Only when cars approaching you and can stop once got car stopped behind you already...otherwise orang belakang marah woh Laughing If still lenguh get the device better as everything automatically done. Device would be especially good during emergecny braking coz tapping brakes really can't be done.

i guess that is the main reason for the device.. at emergency braking, one sharp & hard tap gives..
RAPID BLINKING... can caught people attention especially driver at the back.. whose most of the time kinda ease down & less alert over long journey drive.

p/s: cannot imagine doing emergency brake tapping... car looks like choking, melompat-lompat cam macam naik kuda.! hahah..!

This technology is now standard on M/Benz S class, Beemer 7 etc. It is proven to extend the warning brake distance.

The pulsing follows to the G-Force. Not random "ah beng" pulsing. The higher, the braking Gs, the faster it flashes.
At normal city stop, go traffic, the 3rd brake light works normal.

Rm 280 & install. Would take abt an hour.

A highly recomended mod for those who do a lot hi-way driving. Heck, for any bro who values safety.

Cheers,

Des
