I've changed my stock audio to a 2 Din DVD player with nakamichi PA504 amplifier + Rainbow SLC 265.

I'm happy with the SQ of the above package. Except for one annoying aspect, a strange buzzing noise that mimics the reving of my engine (Even when the HU is off). The noise is louder when I switch on my headlight.

Anyone can help? or
Could sifus out there recommend any ICE shop in Klang Valley area to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks hushymushy!

Yeah, I went back to them few times. They said that it's not due to cabling but it's from engine as the noise appears even when the HU is off. Ridiculous!!!

I think no point wasting time talking or arguing with the idiot. So I would like to look for a good ICE shop to help me solve this actually.

There are actually lots of good ICE outlets in Klang Valley. Some of the more popular ones for the high end ICE are CV, KK Lau, KF Audio and ACP. But my favourite is still the CV at Kuchai Lama (Very good after sales service). But it advisable u go there in weekdays as the weekends are always packed.

Thanks for the information bro,
My system was actually installed by CV Kuchai Lama. They told me that the induced noise was actually from the engine because the noise was there even when the HU is off.

Hei, should be lower than the one you quote be just now cause it's only an hour task unless there are additional devices which I need to install.

Thanks!

Hi sakai, does the noise gets louder as you rev the engine? Is it buzzing noise or aeroplane noise (high pitch)? I think you better bang table there to solve the problem since u have paid them for installation. You can look for Wah Chai (the boss). I'm sure he will assist.Otherwise, threaten them u will tarnish their name (last resort). Razz At least this will tell all the business operators not to take their customers for granted.

It's aeroplane noise, but I found that it's louder at low rev. Probably because the high engine sound will cover it at high rev. Actually it's not really obvious and I hardly hear it when the HU is on. But, I find it very annoying during my driving when the HU is off or at low volume.
Yeah u are right bro, I should ask them to solve. Shouldn't let those non-ethic business operators go so easily huh!!!

Anyway, I appreciate your suggestion and information bro!

Usually, aeroplane noise only occurs when the HU is on. But your case is unique. The high pitch comes from the speakers??? Or from the gear box?? When my car is due for transmission service, it always emanates the soft high pitch sound when I rev it.

Really, but I have done my 80k major service last Thursday. So I guess the SC should had serviced my transmission.

My battery died yesterday. Replaced a new one and the noise become less obvious.
Try to seek for KL Auto help but cannot tahan the price quoted by the devil there Smile.
Nvm lah, I'll go looking for Wah Chai.

Again thanks bro.

Devil to Sakai bro Laughing,

Rm 250 to rectify a problem that your previous installer has "washed their hands" & wrongly pushed the blame on your engine, gear box etc is CHEAP, lah bro.

Some more, as you know, we always stand by our work...meaning when we undertake your job, we have to be responsible for the noise problem on a system that was designed, installed & sold by some body else... who profited from you. Btw, what is your total costs of your system, Rm 5k?

I personally do not like to pick up other ppls sh*t, but since you are a nice guy & a happy AF kaki... Wink

Yes, go back to your previous installer. Tell him you got a second opinion ( dont mention my name Exclamation ) and it is curable.

If they still cannot solve, then bring it to us.

Cheers,

Desmond

RM 250 for 1 hour of pure labour work in KL is considered as a special favour price ah?

I'm not trying to ask for a favour here lar. I understand that you are also profiting from your customers. Everyone needs to make a living what, bro. Honestly, I don't mind paying the money if it required a lot of work, but considering KL market rate, I'd rather reinstall the whole system with the price you quote.

Yeah, it's totally understandable that you do not like to pick up other people sh*t but I believe all these sh*ts have been contributing to your profitable AF business. A smart businessman should be able to view the sh*ts as opportunities rather than problems.

Seriously, I will certainly prefer to deal with shops that will concentrate on solving my problem without wasting my time in rounds and rounds of discussion on who should be responsible for the problem. Just go straight to the point, solve the problem and be done with it.

I'm disappointed lah bro Crying or Very sad, I thought I've found my long-term all-rounded service shop.
NVM, I believe there are people out there who are willing to solve my sh*t at a lower price (or at least happier with the your quoted price).

But don't worry, I'll certainly bring back my car to you if anything goes wrong with the AF and SP installed at your place. I have no doubt that u always stand by ur work bro....
