|
|
Hi all, recently I filled up Ron 95 petrol for my 06 Vtec City & I noticed that the FC seems to be worse, significantly. My Civic still using Ron97 & will try out Ron95 once I use up the Ron97. fyi, I'm using Caltex. Any one to share your experience? Thanks. |

Poor FC, mayb you used to RON97 power when on RON 95 you try to press more to gain the same power without notice.
I experience RON 95 better FC if i keep rolling the car without force or accerelate. But bad FC if im late for appoinment. |

Im not sure with caltex. Im using shell ever since started to use RON95 petrol. So far using RON95 for 4 full tanks and it gave a better FC for every full tank. At least 30-40km extras for every full tank. I drive everyday with a mixture of city and highway road and occasionally my right leg tends to be heavier also.
RON97 FC - 390km - 400km
RON 95 FC - 430km - 440km
(I pumped full tank when the warning light lids)
Btw, im driving fd 2.0

Just switched from V-Power to Shell Ron 95 (just want to try out). Heh, what a surprise. No difference in performance (city drive). Tonight will test on some high speed drive and fuel consumption. |

Thanks for the sharing. I'll continue to monitor the FC. One of my colleague also facing the similar problem. My City FC used to be ~13.5km/L, but now it's ~11.xkm/L with 1st tank of RON95. |

I do believe some are just their pycological which felt that 95 is not as good as 97.
I believe if they are given 98, they will say "wah damn good, FC good, power damn good"
In performance we can't really feel with our butt dyno test as it is just a very little difference in the RON value. As for y the FC is better..im still figuring it out...is it my pycological changed my driving style? :p _________________ FD2 Civic Owner |

Any RON will roll your car & will get you reach the speed of 110km/h but the different is how long it take to reach the targeted speed ?
If there is no different between RON numbers, then what the purpose being categories then ?
Just like Diamond, which has color D,E,F follow by G,H,I...etc |
