i think it's good to have the taxpayer money for the local police force to buy EVO which may be useful when times in need to catch criminals rather than just going into their pocket. _________________ We On|y L|ve Once |n Our L|fetime....

I think such case is not surprised in Malaysia lah, Malaysia really BOLEH, everything boleh, one day you may see F1 police car on the road and then better SIAM |
quite some time already - 10 in PDRM ...
guess all of the 10 are roaming around Klang Valley?
Using Ron 95 or Vpower perhaps ... _________________

Put to good use? They enter the car in a car show ... shows the cars are there to show off only.

In general, I don't think an Evo is a suitable car for police.
If you have watched police chases on "America's most wanted", usually, police will keep a distance behind the criminal. This is to avoid provoking them and making them drive even faster (and recklessly) to get away. Remember, they are driving on public roads, so if they do this they will endanger the rakyat (us).
Secondly, if there is need to end the chase, police will either (set up spike strips some place ahead) or use PIT maneuver (which unfortunately, is not so effective here, because 95% of cars here are FWD).
Imagine, you use your soft (japanese car) Evo to knock a hijacked Mercedes Benz....
Repairs will be very costly, especially here where you pay RM1000 for a pencil and get away with it.
Lastly, most of the time, I see on the road:-
1. Motorcyclist without helmet
2. Car with missing headlamps
3. Buses on highway going above 90kph (according to the sticker on the back, they cannot exceed 90kph on the highway, right?)
How often do you need to use an Evo when a normal police on motorbike will do?
Lastly, I believe FC for Evo will be lousy, especially when driven with a lead foot. _________________

Last 2 day i saw "one" of the pdrm evo X at rest area just after sg. balak toll (SILK). The officer was busy entertaining their friends or maybe girlfriends with a "see and touch" experience with the evo X. |
