If your stock HU is still under warranty u can get it claimed FOC...only problem is the waiting period. In fact my CD unit had died on me twice. I've now ditched it and changed to a double din dvd player. The sound is so much better compared to the stock Wink

bro, as you saw during lunch, kena shot two nuclear reactive arrows from Desmond already. I think I shall follow in your footsteps and change the HU. Might even consider throwing in an active subwoofer at the back.

In case I want to sell my car later, just swap with the one from warranty claim.

for me if we set to DSP Flat,, the whole sound is just so so only,,
for stock ICE is just OK and equilvalent to others like Altis,, even Lancer sound is a step higher then us
the different is just its more louder only,, just my opinion,,

Yes, it is louder but I can feel more bass too ... and because we do not need to increase the volumn, for me around 4, 5 will do, the sound will not be distorted as a result of increasing to high volumn to hear the same effect (on original setting).

Yes, unfortunately. Our beautiful panel and shiny buttons will be gone. It will look like the Type R panel -- which is ok for me -- but my wife very sad. She said "not as pretty"
