|
|
I already changed rear speaker Sony Explod 2 way 260watt... the bass sound still lembik..
Just to share...
Switch ON car key / ignition
Press the 4 & 6 button simultaneously and press the 'PWR' to turn ON HU.
From here your radio will be on the diagnostic mode ‘DIAG’.
Press the '4' button, you'll get ‘DSP FLAT’
Press the 'PWR' button to turn OFF HU... Then press again the 'PWR' button.
U can feel great sound with Bass... But stock HU will back to normal if switch OFF the key / ignition... _________________ Burn Rubber! |

Found this from another Civic Forum, aparently from Russia -- Is this really an easter egg? Does the stock player actually have a DSP that is set to FLAT by default? -- Why would they do that? Or is this a LOUDNESS function.
| Quote: | First HI!
I`m a member of CiViC Club Russia.. so i want to tell you about some secrets of a head unit (w/o navi) that we discovered.
I`m doing that because there is a problem, we couldn`t deal with.
Let`s start. as you know, there is a diag menu by turning on stereo with "1" and "6" pressed... nothung to do..
With "1" and "3" pressed starts a speaker cheking (Change speaker by "skip" button)
The most interesting - power on with "4" and "6" pressed - you`ll find The Diag Menu II !!!
button 1 - shows model of a sound system,
button 2, 3 - can`t remember something about track playing..
button 5 - cd checking
!!! button 4 !!! - when you press, display says "DSP Flat". hold "4" for a moment (about 5-7 seconds) "DSP OFF". turn power off with button (not the key!) then turn power on and you`ll be stunned with a fine, bassfull, loud sound!!! at first time i was thinking - how it could be?! i didn`t beleive my ears. the sound was awesome even with stock speakers!
But the problem is - when you turn ignition off or take out the key the settings become default (dsp flat).
That`s why i right it here.. i ask you to contakt dealer maybe.. to find how can we save the settings or even make dsp rock pop jazz etc..
Thanx. From Russia with love =) |

Bro, all of us Malaysian version mah. It worked on mine. Espcially those "Voodoo" guys, try this out. Amazing. But like the author said, when you turn off the ignition, everything reset to default again. Always need to remember to "turn on". I mean the radio ah ... no dirty thoughts pls. |

it works...superb given it's totally stock HU+speakers without amplifiers!
if amplified...might sound a bit muffled/ distorted.....my Bass is set to -1 to complement 'DSP=FLAT'
overall thumbs up... for stock HU =) _________________ < d i j o n >

Tried it and it rocks weh.. i can now throw stones to toyata altis d(altis bass very heavy if u all dint realise)
Love it but the treble seems muted.. maybe changing the treble will help.. anyway.. hopefully can make it permanent(without voiding the warranty) |

Anyone know what brand is the stock HU, then probably can get some idea from there about making this function permanent! _________________ Fellow Kemuning Utama Resident, JOIN the community forum at

Good question. I couldn't find what the brand nor modal is for our stock HU.
Also, would be good to know what is the brand and modal for our front and rear speakers.
My HU just died -- the CD changer got stuck -- Honda Malaysia has taken the player, say they need 2 months to fix it. 2 months without music? Really ... long. |

No one has ever been able to make the setting permanent as far as I can research it over 3 languages on the net. |
