It was a time a forumer explained to me why he installed VTTR break, I wasn't understand until I experienced myself.

Last weekend when I travel back to hometown at highspeed, between 160~180KM/H. When I break at 180 reduce to 120KM/H, (not on heavy brak), I heard "gong gong........" sounds from the front disks. After few tries, 120, 140, 150, 160..., it only happend above 160KM/H.

My finding is, either disk rotor or pad that over heated too fast. But if rotor inbalance, my steering will vibrate big time but it was not.

So next, I will try to replace my disk pad, don't bother to claim for warranty because it will replace the same pad and never solve problem. What you guys think?? Wink

Oh, not to forget, I was busted for speeding at Muar. How much to pay for the ticker? Thanks.

Hi Bro toycarsmy.com,

I take it that you are on completely stock brakes?

I have a similar experience where brake shudder after braking from high speed. I have project Mu Bestop brake pads, the rest is stock. I doubt changing to better brake pads would help, as possibly it is caused by warping rotors.

Well, maybe those with bigger rotors have resolved this?

3things which is a definite recommended mod

1. upgrade to SSBH ... u can either go for Pro-RS or Goodridge ...

2. dot4 brake fluids
- can go for castrol or bosch
- make sure they "bleed" the oem fluids out

3. better brake pads eg. EBC or Project Mu
- minimum is ebc black stuff rated 450C or Project Mu rated 330C

also get them to inspect your front brake rotors ... see if its warped & need to be skimmed
