My BF and I were checking the boot of my car the other day for tools- I only have the tools available for changing a spare tyre. I also have that triangle warning sign thing, glow sticks (Wooo rave! Actually flares) and a bottle of instant puncture repair kit (My father bought). However, my BF suggested that instead of using the included t-spanner, that I should get an x-spanner since it would be easier for me to jump on or remove the nuts of the tyre if I need.

But then most likely if I have tyre puncture I'll just call up people to help me... Very Happy

Spare keys... don't think I have spare keys Shocked Then the CD player manual is inside the car manual, as in they're one thing together.

I just wonder whether we can bring those glow sticks to concerts next time.. Laughing

Nope, tool set is not included with the car except the car jack and tyre wrench. If need to, can get one good set at your local hardware store.

One more suggestion.

Upon reaching home with your new FD, remove all floor mats and the panel covering the spare tyre. Ensure all windows are wound up.

Have someone sit inside the car.
Using a high pressure garden spray, shoot the entire car with a strong jet of water. Once done, look and touch the carpets inside to see if there's any dampness. Check the spare tyre well for any accumulated water.

I've encountered 1 FD in my shop once with water leakage problem and it was traced to the rear window seal.

thanks KelvinW. i also used this c/list. very useful. on top of that, based on members' feedbacks, i also run thru the following to ensure the car doesn't have :

Steering
1) Steering (car stationary with engine running) - When turn slightly faster than normal frm left to right, kruk! Kruk! Sound coming frm steering.
2) Steering (car moving) - When reaching a corner, turn steering wheel slightly faster than normal either to the left or right, kruk! one time. Sound is frm outside (undercarrige)
3) Krek2 sound when over the hump and also like loosen absorber when over the zebra line b4 traffic light...sound like krukk kruukk.
4) When you turn your steering, it sound "tik-tik-tik" will come out. It is obvious especially during parking. It just sound like when drive shaft kaput.

Suspension
1) Metal hitting sound from front suspension.
2) Keekee sound coming from the undercarriage when car is in D or R mode (park your car, step on brake and engage D or R) wind down your window -cat con

Wiper
1) wiper produces noise a highest speed level, due banged to side of screen
2) wiper jerking

The checklist proof to be very useful. However due to the excitement of getting the car, didn't manage to go through the entire checklist b4 going vrooom Mr. Green

However, its so far so good, fingers crossed.

I also thought the SA ripped me off by saying the car does not come with a tool kit until I read this tread Embarassed

However, the tools holder that was on placed on top of the spare tyre is not completely filled up. Am I missing something Question Jump start cable or tyre pressure gauge maybe Question
