|
|
Dear all sifus out there,
I have just found out that my driver side seat leather is starting to peel off. I just noticed it yesterday. Does any bros encounter this problem ? I'm only driving my FD2 for 1 year. I don't really expect Honda's quality to be this bad. I know the concept of Wear and Tear but I just cant really accept with the duration of 1 year and this starts to occurs. I have already called up the SC and they asked me to bring my car there to do an inspection. Am I eligible to do a warranty claim on this? Hope to hear any shout outs and advise from all the bros here. Thanks.

Mine is already coming to 3 yrs.. of course have the wrinkle and so on.. but not peeling off like yours..
Try to talk to the SC and see if can claim.. since still under warranty. However, there are chances it may get rejected, since considered wear and tear.
Good luck _________________ Do not say things just to show you know what you are saying. Say things which only need to be said. |

Hey bro,
As mentioned by other bros here, you have to send it back to the SC and complain. I think they can't deny u a replacement since ur ride is only 1 year old.
Hope they can solve your problems. |

All,
I'm not expert, this is my first car comes with leather anyway,, but leather finishing seat need to be taken care off more then normal fabric seat, this leather its some sort of alive,, they generate moisture / natural oil from time to time, until for some time or the leather jadi keras (mati), especially on this hot and dry country of ours.
This moisture will maintain the softness of the leather, but this moisture need to be replace, that's why you can find a lot of leather care product at shop,
Try to apply this cream once every three month to prevent your leather jadi keras or dead, this cream is very efficient to replace the natural oil that our leather seat produce.
But I agree with all of you that for a leather to be premature dead after 1 year is very intolerable. |
