Hi all the Sifus... I just got my new FD 3 weeks ago, sparkle grey... and now it's getting dirty (and few scratches --> dog bites and careless car park neighbour), would like to find a good car care center for wax & polishing.... Any recommendations?

i was speaking to the lady at authenticar in one-stop. she says there is a guy who does detailing at home who charges about RM80-100 for one car. Obviously, with this price you have to provide him with the materials. It would be a whole day job and he only does one car per day. _________________ Alvin |

He does it as a hobby, and the lady assures me he is very very professional. She said there is this customer who is extremely fussy, does not let anyone touch his car other than himself (i think that could be quite a number of us actually), but he had no choice once because he was really too busy, and even he was impressed by the workmanship. She also mentioned the price will depend on how many layers you plan to apply la.
Although i have no experience with this guy, from discussion with the saleswoman, this guy really knows his stuff.
What kinda stuff you planning to give him? _________________ Alvin |

Hi Guys,
I strongly recommend CGC in Penang. They are located at the PISA staduim next to Brothers. As soon as i got the car, I took it over for them to do a little detailing and then a coat of MMC was applied. Paid RM500. And you do it abt once a year. Freinds have used it and it came highly recommended. Barely any watermarks and bird doo doos. On a yearly tradition, you take it back once a year and they will do some conditioning work for abt RM150.

I heard they are using Meguaires product. Not sure what is that coating? Meguiers really a good product and am very satisfy after using it especially NXT range. Trying to do some experiment for few cars , really worth of trying....
Anyone may have other brands to recommend? it will be good to share with each other especially newbies like me will benefit from here... |
