Not sure available in Malaysia but a good stuffs for cold & clean weather but for our dusty & humid enviroment, suitable ?

Saw this at Tropicana City Mall, PJ carpark. Even they put the TV advertisement nearby ticket machine showing how this waterless method work.

In Malaysia, the govt cannot control us on how we use the water supply in our homes.

In certain parts of the US (such as Connecticut, if Im not mistaken),
there are Water Usage Restrictions imposed by their water authorities, whereby it's an offense:
1. if u wash your car in your home (car wash shops are OK).
2. if u use automated lawn-sprinklers in your garden, unless its newly planted grass.
3. if u wash the front driveway of your home
etc etc...it seems your neigbours could report you!!! Laughing

It's even an offense to wash the streets with water!!

I'm pretty sure about this, but anyone how's lived in these parts of US, pls correct me if I'm wrong.

So naturally, there's a demand for water-less wash products in these places. In Msia's dusty weather, these products will only end up scratching our delicate clearcoats, since you just spray something onto a dirty dusty dry car, and wipe it with a cloth.

Back in 1994, a Msian brought in a consignment of Dri Wash and Guard, and it was a failure here. Cost per wash was too high, and hey...we've no water usage restrictions here Laughing

When I was in Melbourne, Australia..there was water restriction imposed on every homes depending on which zone u were in. My area was at Zone 2-3 wherejby we cannot wash our cars @ home, cannot wash the driveway, cannot water our plant with sprinklers etc etc. Exactly the same as bro PlutoII mentioned.

I had to bring my car to car wash centres and these centres are not like ours here in M'sia. I had to put the coins in the vending machine and clean the car myself. Still that will cost me close to AUD 10-12 each time I wash my own car.

Therefore, I'd think this method of washing may not pick up in our country just yet. It'll probably be more effective in countries with water restrictions. However, it may be a good alternative as M'sians tend to waste too much water anyway.

i think a few factors would need to be considered :

1. Hardness of the water? i believe this is important somehow.
2. Acidity of the water? not too sure about this.
3. Msia roads seems to have really bad dirt as our roads have oil debris, tar, etc.

Maybe only applicable for 5 days city drive, before using this system.

But we do need to conserve water to avoid wastage.
