I just did a 40K service at Yu Ming Honda Service centre. I post pone the change for the fuel filter as the service manual schedule to change it only at 80K.
I just a normal service change oil filter, engine oil, clean air filter.
If follow their recommendation is cost up to RM800.

I did my 40K service as well, and i proceeded not to change my fuel filter as i strongly believe they last much much much much longer then that. For me 100k once is fair... but since book said 80k, just make them happy by changing it later at 80k.
My only thoughts to the rest bro... if you feel they are asking u to change this and that and u feel suspicious and they trying to burn ur pocket, ask them if is this is recommended or mandatory.
Recommended would mean u have option to just plainly say NO to them. The SA today told me it's mandatory to change my fuel filter, i told him fine, you just give me a letter or remark in my service booklet that my warranty on fuel system void because customer refused to change at 40k. He stun for a while went in and came out to say sorry it's optional not mandatory.
It takes big guts out of them to dare to put up in writting what they claim verbally to customer |

can hit 80k... quoted to change fuel filter around RM400 (labor&installation).. nearly fainted.
if previous owner say changed at 40k and manual says 80k..
that mean i can give another 40k before i change right ?
anybody has any idea how it looks like ? |

my question...do the fuel filter comes with new screw or they totally forget to install it back? |
the problem has been rectified... the screw belongs to hook screw at the rear seat.... _________________ -~ eX gHoSt rIdEr ~- |
