DO you means the lower part of door frame or the truely bottom part which is not visible from your photo?

If you talking about lower part of door, what I do is, even though i do not have high pressure water pump, I will still wet it with normal paip water (with max pressure) then leave it for a while. When you wash it with car shampoo, try to rub it gently at one direction only. Anyone got better idea?

You can't totally avoid the minor scratches as stones bounce up, hard grasses and dry twigs will still scratch it because its low. Unless your car never leave tar road or cement.

One more thing, if you going to clean the tar with UD40, don't use your expensive mitt. As the UD40 is really effective to melt the tar on your car body, but then it will be sticky to your mitt and becomes irremovable.

I dare not say its totally gone. But so far my black FD2 still look shine after wash. For me, the normal water paip pressue its strong enough.

Note: My condo water pressure is pretty high. Twisted Evil

First is to always wash from top to bottom using 2 bucket system if do from home.

Second, the idea is not to scrub the door panel.. hose it down with a plenty of water, not neccessary use high pressure jet. The water will remove any sand or pebbles.. fyi, sand does not stick on the panel that water cannot remove. Tar maybe...

Third, use a good mitt and car shampoo.. apply generously on the door panel.. not scrub, just like normal washing. Unlike some opinion, I think a good shampoo helps.. it works much better than cheap chap XX. FYI, Meguairs NXT Gen or Mothers Gold Class should be considered.

Fourth, hose if off with again, plenty of water.

Fifth, dry if off with a good microfibre towel. I use the hold 2 ends and pull over the panel method.

Hope this helps.
