Just want to confirm something, if you change your absorber, do you need to redo your balancing and alignment after that? Thanks.

Yes you need to do alignment when changing the absorber to ensure shock absorbers longevity and also since you need to jack the car up might as well do it anyway. If your steering wheel don't vibrate while moving I think no need to do wheel balancing as it is just putting counter-weights onto the rims.

Front wheel alignment is done to ensure even tyre wear rate. Too much toe-in, outer edges of your tyres will scrub, lead to excessive wear, thus shorten tyre life.

Too much toe-out, inside edges of the frt wheels will wear faster. Same with camber- too much negative, good cornering & turn in, but excessive wear on inner edge.

Due to some freeplay in fixing position on the front knuckle where absorber strut bracket bolts on, there will be be misalignment whenever frt struts are replaced. So better to have alignment done after struts replaced.

Rear wheel alignment not so affected by changing of absorber struts, unless the struts are exceptionally short or long... but changing of springs may affect the camber...

Once all 4 wheels are properly balanced, they should be good for at least 6 months or 10,000km if you are not an aggressive driver.

Assuming your tyres + rims are new or in good condition, my regular tyre guy always advise to use the 2 wheels with least balancing weights on to be fitted at the front- this apparently minimizes risk of an unbalanced wheel causing high speed steering shimmy and vibration.
