Apart from the piggy back ecus - i believe the stock ECU can be remapped / reprogram a little bit right ?

for e.g. if u cleaned your TB or maybe running some additional minor mods - and u need to tune back ur idling or choose a bit of leaner setting ... u can right? using back the stock ECU, maybe the SC can do this or something ?

if ask SC to do it..
wouldn't it be more expensive compared to
adding piggyback (unichip/emu) to augment ur stock ECU performance?

hondata also seems not interested in reflash ECU for K20Z2 FD2A.. Confused

ermm .. i thought it was somewhat like those older cars - where the workshop or SC can do some minor tuning ..

remember those days where they have a big moving machine with wheels, clamp some sensors on the exhaust and engine .. and u get like a heartbeat osciloscope .. and they do some minor tuning ...

guess nowadays - our smart ECU is a live ECU itself ?

That kind of 'dinosaur' engine tuning limited to CO levels, ignition timing slightly advance or retard, and air-fuel ratio mix lean or rich...thats all.

Honda PGFM way way more advanced than this....yes, its a learning adaptive ecu with much greater computing power than man's first rocket shot landing on the moon...

If you wanna play with all the in-built parameters that govern/ control your K20Z2+ auto gearbox, you'll need a complete ecu reflash...

so if we did minor mods like add Pivot Spark earth / Ignition Earth .....Mega Raizin..drop-in filter etc. (plug n play mods) .... our ECU can learn its new environment by itself?

or we need to reset it.... should it be done?
